New to Pawsh Park? Register online first, then sign up for your Training Consultation & Eval. Your trainer checks socialization, basic obedience, leash behavior, house training, temperament and general health, and helps you pick the right program.
Sarah has been part of the Pawsh Park family since 2023. She graduated from a veterinary technical college in 2016, earned her AKC training certification in 2018 and is certified in animal first aid.
She has worked with dogs of every breed, size and age, from AKC champions to rescue dogs, and she is known for honest, caring communication with pet parents.

Rabies, distemper combo (DHPP) and Bordetella must be up to date. We also highly recommend the canine influenza vaccine.
What happens at the training evaluation?
Your pup's trainer looks at socialization, basic obedience, leash behavior, house training, temperament and general health. You fill out a short “Welcome to Pawsh Pup School” questionnaire, and together you choose the program that fits your dog and your goals.
What can you teach my dog?
From puppy basics (socialization, potty training, bite inhibition, focus, name recognition) to sit, wait, down, leave it, place, recall and leash manners, then advanced work like stay, retrieve and walking around you.
Can you work on a specific goal with my dog?
Yes. Tell us what you want to work on at the evaluation and we will build the plan around it.
Do you offer puppy training?
Yes. Puppies can start once their vaccinations are up to date, and there is no fixed minimum age. Our puppy options are the 5 Day Puppy Package (Stay & Train or Boot Camp) and the 5 Day Pre-K9 package.
What is the difference between Stay & Train, Boot Camp and Play & Train?
Stay & Train includes boarding, so your pup lives and learns with us. Boot Camp is consecutive days of daytime training: drop off before 9:00 AM and pick up after 4:00 PM. Play & Train mixes daycare play with training, with the same drop-off and pick-up times.
Do I take part in the training?
Yes, and it matters. Most of the work happens at home, so you take private lessons with us and keep practicing every day. Consistency and repetition are what make training stick.
What is the success guarantee?
Your pup will learn something, guaranteed.
Will I get updates on my dog's progress?
Yes. Trainers send progress reports and keep track of how your pup is doing with each skill, adjusting to your dog's pace.
How do I know when a command is learned?
We use the Rule of 8: a command counts as fully learned when your dog performs it correctly 8 times in a row.
Are the prices the same at both locations?
Yes. Every training program is offered at Maumelle and Sherwood at the same price.
Can my dog take the Canine Good Citizen test?
We offer a Canine Good Citizen prep package for dogs who have completed our levels of training. Call or text us for pricing and test details.

For starters, I can't say enough about the positive experience Sox and I had. Sarah is one of the trainers she explains everything and Sox adores her. Hunter is also one of the trainers they are both Wonderful!!!! They had Sox doing commands in 3 days time. I was able to come home with her and implement her commands. It was so easy!!!
